There are a number of artsy projects that I'm working on and I wanna blab about all of them. I want to paint big big and bigger! But I've currently run into a lot of technical problems with painting big. So I thought I'd try the complete opposite and paint on some tiny canvases of only 8x10 inches. I plan to take these small portable paintings to cons and fairs and sell them at an affordable price!
So what am I going to paint on these little canvases? Aliens! I know at least one of them (if not several) will be my Lava Lizards!
These guys were in my head chilling out by the hot lava for a whole year before I got around to painting them. It was nice to finally see them actualized in a painting. They haven't left my head! They're still there. So I'm gonna keep on painting them.
I have several sketches of aliens that I've never got around to painting. Some of these sketches I've had for years, sitting there collecting dust. Time to put them to good use in my 8x10 series!
I also love my alien flora. I've treasured this sketch for years and I think its about time I do something with it!
Revisiting my sketches makes me realize I have a lot lot lot more to paint!
